Ok girls, I found the cutest little plastic heart trinket boxes at the Dollar Tree last week and what a bargain, 12 for $1.00. I’m not a big fan if purple so I decided to use only the red and pink heart boxes in the package. I thought these would make adorable little treat boxes for my girl friends, once I’ve adorned with glitter and little cabbage roses!
You will need:
I started off by painting the little lids with Mode Podge, sprinkle with your glitter of choice, I chose pink and red. Once these are nice and dry I created little crepe paper roses. Cut your crepe paper into strips. Start the little roses by taking one end and rolling into a little rosebud type center, from there start creating the petals by twisting and turning the rest of your strip around the center until you have your little cabbage rose, use the tail end of your paper strip to tuck under the rose gluing down so that the rose stays together. You might want to dap a glue into the rose as your go along. I sprinkled the roses and little coffee colored leaves with very fine clear glitter.
And now your have great little Valentine treat boxes ready to fill will goodies!
Valentines Day is only a month away and I’ve been crafting and creating jewelry for the occasion like crazy! I have three different Valentines Day craft tutorials that I will start posting soon, which include a fun heart wreath, heart gift boxes and then something to change-up just giving a card!
I have a thing for hearts and almost always have heart items listed in my Etsyshop. But … I have been creating some special pieces just for Valentines Day using vintage jewelry pieces that I’ve purchased at recent Estate sales and antique shops.
Wishing everyone a very… Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I know that everyone is crazy busy this week, but I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has stopped by my little blog, made a comment and/or become a follower! I started this blog two years ago, but did very little with it until a couple of months ago when I decided to start sharing my frugal crafting projects. During these months I have met some really fabulous and talented people, taken part in some really fun and creative blog events all in all you guys have really made this a special year for me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I’m going to take a little time off to spend time with family, create more jewelry for my shop and to finish moving and redecorating my craft space.
Take care, have a great holiday, keep crafting and I’ll see everyone after the first of the year!

Here I go again, more Dollar Tree Crafts! I should really stay out of that place, I’ve gotten to where I only pay cash and then hide my finds when I get home so my hubby won’t notice all the new craft supplies. I guess when you think about it, it’s not that bad
of an addiction, lol.
One of our family traditions was to hang miniature candy canes on the Christmas tree, so I’ve loved candy canes ever since.Dollar Tree had a string of the most adorable plastic candy canes, and turned up side down they make a perfect “J”.
Three small frames
Candy cane ornament
Plastic ball ornaments
Decorative Christmas paper
First spray paint the frames to your color of choice, I chose black because I thought it would make the color pop and it goes with my front den decor. While the frames are drying cover the frames cardboard inset with your holiday themed paper, I used scrapbook paper that I already had on hand, but wrapping paper would work just great. Glue the little plastic candy cane down, oh tie a bow around it first. Second cute the plastic ball Christmas ornament in 1/2, glue onto the second paper covered inset. The lastly create a “Y” with various fun holiday beads on the third covered inset.
Once the frames are dry simply pop the decorated insets into them, and there you have it a very easy and inexpensive Christmas JOY sign! So tell me what you think!
Happy Friday ! It’s been a super crazy week at the “real” job and I’m so thankful that we have finally hit the weekend. In between the craziness at work and taking care of the family I’ve been busy creating new jewelry for the Holiday Season.

We just got back from a too short visit with my sister and her family in North Carolina. The fall foliage was just beginning in her area but it was still so lovely and inspirational! I’ve always been partial to the rich hues of Fall. Here are a few of my Fall inspired, vintage style handcrafted jewelry pieces.
